CONNIE:Hi Dave - what are you writing about? ED. note:ending w/ prep?
REPLY: transcript, Jules -take it up w/ Connie
DAVE:Hey sweets, Enzo Stuarti
CONNIE:Enzo who?
DAVE:Stuarti - I remember him on Ed Sullivan and Johnny Carson
CONNIE:What about him makes him writing-worthy?
DAVE:He was a singer but Wikipedia . .
CONNIE:(interrupts) There's already a wiki-piece on him so what are you writing about him?
DAVE:I haven't decided but I think it might be his love life?
CONNIE:Dave, why do you always go there? And why write about some old singer when you could be . .
DAVE:(interrupts) Connie, remember what we said? Stream of consciousness, subject matter is subconsciously selected - remember?
CONNIE:I realize that Dave, but you are such a good writer and your topics are sometimes interesting to only you.
DAVE:Sometimes? how about MOST of the time. Besides this Stuarti guy was raised by monks and his second wife Thelma something-or-other was supposed to have perfected the Palermo Caterpillar, a tantric technique only practiced by geishas.
CONNIE:Dave, think about it - you could write something special from your soul but you stick to these absurd . .
DAVE:(interrupts) Absurd? Connie, now you're being hurtful. I write what I am, not what you'd like me to be
CONNIE:Dave, sorry if that came out harshly. I love you and respect your imagination and am certain your masterpiece is still within you
DAVE:I love you, too babe - wanna go play drive-in movie upstairs?
CONNIE:That's my boy . . .
