This is the story of Rose Etta Stone (real name) and how she took a part-time baby sitting job and turned it into the world's most successful match-making enterprise. Her first match came about during a job watching Chastine Tarney a 6 year old Raising Hope looking kid. Her friend Betsy moaned about no boyfriend, Rose had her call Kirk who was interested in Rose and had him come to the Tarney's that night and Kirk & Betsy made out for a long time and eventually got married. Rose could also write Ruby on Rails scripts on her iPhone better than anyone using even a laptop and voila! pouncemates.com was born. Rose's knack was two-fold: She used a program she developed to determine how long, what order and keywords in the questionnaire her site required to determine her own quadrant based profile of each applicant a la Myers-Briggs and 2) She made pouncemate the coolest, most enjoyable website to spend time in more than any other known. She had a slew of famous matches, Jessica & OJ Simpson, Barry & Phyllis Diller, What's-his-name and Anne Hathaway and many others. Rose's mantra to this day is still "the key is silent like the P in phlegm". Any soul is a ship at sea and the beacon from the lighthouse is sometimes just a cigarette lighter at a Kee$ha concert. Sometimes Rose's words are like Guitar Boogie played on a zither - you get the tune but the stanza is like any ectomy you don't need. Rose passed yesterday in her sleep and the world mourns the loss.
