The wind keeps blowing and 100 hasn't arrived yet. The dragon chase is just a television anomaly and no reason to get steamed up. Talkin' about funny always brings me to inappropriate. I still think the wrong take for a settled guy is still the funniest. If I were honest here, I'd put a few examples but they wouldn't be real examples - they would be shocking (me shocking? . . ) Hard to believe, me shocking. So I'd go with a joke about biggest mistakes containing blown chance & naming dog chance. It would reveal my eternal sophomoric facet. Previous stories here tried to recap funny moments (asking Dad in the bathroom if he was a technocrat and him answering "no, I'm just washing my hands"). Some of the funny ones in real life don't read so funny:
I go to an after work happy hour and I wear a panama hat because I'm insecure about my balding head. Some co-workers and consultants are there. After a few beers, a semi-babe approaches me and says "I like your hat - wanna dance?" We go to the dance floor and instead of club dancing, I take her hands, pull her to me and do a little Saturday Night Fever twirls. We bump, we twirl, we separate we writhe, we grope, we twirl some more and the song ends, she says "thanks" and I go back to el hombres, one of whom is open mouthed and asks "who WAS she?" I say "don't know - just met her" and he asks "did you just make those moves up?" I nodded and swilled my beer in a studly manner. Now I think that's funny but even as I read it back - where's the ha-ha moment? Maybe I should stick with high school tales like having to write an algebra problem on the board while trying to hide my boner. Or maybe just save the funny for meranda or that getaway that's in the making. Ifyoublowsayhuh?
