
Back to Dave's dream - -He was baffled as to the meaning of a reunion with someone from his past. The backdrop wasn't familiar but his truck was, and why was the reunion with someone from a different generation? Maybe it was just one of those meaningless dreams like the ones he had when he was a lad and he'd be all makin' out and would go to 3rd base and he'd be started that the beauty in his arms was playing on HIS team. So Dave did the Jon Stewart head shake with flapping cheeks and went on about his day. As evening was becoming something more than nighttime, Dave was snuggled in with Connie getting ready to watch a Netflix movie. Connie asked him "where do gays go?" Dave replied "what gays are you referring to?" Connie snapped "Gays? I asked you how did your day go - do you even listen to me?" Dave smirked knowing this happens two or three times every day. "Fairly excellent", Dave said with a smile. The movie began with an airliner landing and a guy and a gal picking up a rental car. Dave's mind wandered but the screen caught his attention when the sign on the highway pointed to Provence. The movie became riveting when the couple pulled into a farm house and after greeting the friends there, the guy drives out from the side of the barn, not in the rental car but a cherry old Flareside exactly like the one in Dave's dream. Excitement vibrated in Dave's nerve endings as the truck drove along a familiar highway and turned -NO! it turned into the same place as in his dream. Dave was starting to feel his heartbeat clear down in his nutsack when the screen went dark. Dave turned to Connie and blurted "what happened!" Connie said softly "I turned it off, I'm falling asleep. We'll watch the rest tomorrow". Why I oughtta . .
