NEW YEAR

Dave could tell the minute Connie's brother came into the room that something was on his mind. Keith was a nice kid, a good guy whose only apparent weakness was girls with tattoos. Dave handed him a Cream Stout and asked "what's on your mind, Keith?". Well we could get into alot of dialogue here about backstory but I'll stick to the gist of Keith's latest escapade. He was in his Quantitative Methods class and the prof put this equation on the board and used the term lambda. Lambda? wasn't he the Bears quarterback? WTF's a lambda? The girl on his right whose name is Chris smiled at him with his hand on his forehead and squirming like a schoolboy. When they took a sort break, Chris asked Keith if he's getting the problem and he just said "had you ever heard of a lambda?" She said, "Sure, how about we grab a beer at Smoky Joe's after class and I'll explain". Well, it was about the third beer when Keith forgot all about the classwork and noticed how natural Chris' beauty was. He started to lean toward her a bit and Jackson Browne's Running on Empty started playing. They started making out right there at the bar and as they started to get up,

Connie walked in and said "Hi guys" interrupting Keith's story. "Hey Connie". "Dave, I need to borrow you for a few minutes, the charger on my phone doesn't make the battery light like it always does when I plug it in". "OK, Keith can you stick around?" "No Dave, gotta run" Now I have to find out what happened with Chris as soon as my whitey tighties calm down.

UPDATE: OK, I get a hold of Keith and implore him to finish his story. Again, much blah-blah-blah but here's the essence: Keith forgot to mention that he underwent his very first root canal that afternoon so his conversation with Chris was more like" dish new ebba herf of lambnish a bore?" which of course is what intrigued her. They DID go to her apartment from Smoke's and she did walk out of her bathroom sans blouse but that's where his memory ends. "Keith, are you telling me you crashed or conked out?" I asked. He said "Let me get back to you later on this".
