Blasphemy is not just trash talk about religion. It is, in my mind, the words intended to take our eyes off the beautiful. Sure, beauty = beholder and my preferences maybe include some things that aren't universally labeled beauty but I need all the time I can get to gather the beauty that is available just for the asking. I see it as filling up at the pure water place or would you rather fill you glass at the soilpipe? Today I am beautiful because I am alive (add dirtnap reference here).
