NEW YEAR

When the 70" LED LCD w/ wi-fi was delivered and set-up, Dave settled in for a test drive using the DVD saved for such an event. The sound was a bit too loud as evidenced by the pedestal fan rocking slightly as the jet took off on the screen. He thought he heard the garage door opening and sure enough, Connie walked in, put the bag down and grinned saying "My my". There was a time when they only had a 19" tv by design, the theory being the bigger the screen, the more the guy will be watching sports instead of being one. But now the whole picture evolved into a virtual reality standard mixing in create and develop functions to the once passive viewing limitation. Now isn't that just the most flaccid excuse for buying a $3300-bigger-version-of-what-you-already-have item? The thing is there is no parent present to insist that Dave take it back. It's the kids have taken over the vacation resort thing. Meantime, while Hector Elizando and Shirley MacLaine were on the big screen, the water system still needed repair and procrastination was in gear. Fortunately, the God of Love (redundant) takes care of the flock and thankfully it all worked out in the end. Moral: Corvettes and Porsches aren't the only indicator of johnson dreams. Gray skies are going to clear up.
