Cosmopolitan. I right away think Helen Gurley Brown. Cosmo - as in "that's so cosmo" meaning contemporary, hip, smart. Walking through the Cosmopolitan today it was more like -Yikes! Look at all the crystal, the wide open spaces, the luxury. There's a need for all this, I reckon, some place where the hoity-toity play, where the more-money-than-brains people spend their time. I like it and would have no adjustment to make to roam in those plains. But even that place can't compare with our afternoon parking place where the daisys and roses and purple ice plants attract your eye unlike limpid pools where the pH was ignored. Call me a romantic, in fact, call me a shithead - who cares what YOU call me? I could make a reservation at the Cosmopolitan in 5 minutes, but what would ever induce me to do that? I make everything beautiful, well, almost everything. All Conditioned things in the world are changeable. They are not lasting. Work hard to gain your own liberation. Thought I'd just throw that in to secure the position that beauty is more than fender skirts on a '60 Pontiac. I ran a good race but finished out of the running unless we agree that "running" is reaching the realm of perfection, replete with love and happiness, in which case I correct the above by saying "I finished first".
